Octopus are one of the most otherworldly animals under the sea and they are definitely a favourite of mine so I have wanted to create some octopus pieces for a long time now and what better way to start of a long running under water collection.

This is a real statement piece that measures approximately w145mm x h133mm when worn. The main body consists of a striking frosted iridescent acrylic which has been customised/backed to create a more coral toned opaque acrylic which shines through all the colours of a sunset (light red, purplish pink, coral, orange and yellow) as it moves and shows differently in different lights. It's then accented with plain coral Perspex as well as a gloss iridescent acrylic which has also been backed - (pink and then white for the eyes). All hand assemble onto thin layers of clear acrylic to coordinate beautifully with the transparent edges of the iridescent acrylic. The clear backing, means that you can see the glue from the back (see photo) but it means that it looks so much better from the front. The chain and findings are made from anti tarnish stainless steel so the jump rings won't need changing. Choose between gold plated and regular silver tone. I'm wearing the necklace on the shortest length in the photos and it measures approximately 37cm extending to 46cm. If you think you'll need extra length you can message me or leave me a note for a couple more inches of the main chain but I will say that the necklace can't really be worn any lower as I don't think it will sit right. Please note with this one that there may be slight variation in tone to the iridescent acrylic. Please also be careful not to scratch the underneath of the exposed iridescent acrylic backing underneath on the sucker parts as like the backing on mirrored acrylic, rough handling can cause it to scratch off. It doesn't touch any surfaces when it's laid flat though so it should be okay, especially if stored on it'd foam pad in the box it will arrive in. The inserts in the sucker sections are glued securely and will be double checked before shipping but obviously if they're prodded roughly, they may come loose so please handle carefully.

All work is solely done by Rock The Panda designer and maker Ruth Anna Moore in Sheffield, United Kingdom.
The necklace has the Rock The Panda logo and year it was designed (2025) engraved on the back, and comes in it's own box. You can find matching tentacle earrings on the shop.

All Rock The Panda designs are limited. They won't ever be mass produced.

£1 per item sold from the release between 25/10/25 - 01/11/25 will be donated to the marine conservation charity Sea Shepherd.

Important Info -

Due to my works handmade nature and the fact that some of the acrylic sheet is handmade itself, there will be slight differences in each piece and may be minor imperfections.
Stainless steel is very resilient to tarnish but it may darken slightly over time.

Acrylic can be quite delicate. Handle with care, clean with a soft microfibre cloth and keep your brooch/necklace in the box provided when not being worn. Each piece is water resistant but not waterproof. Please don't immerse in water. Some acrylic, particularly pearl marble acrylic can deteriorate with time (years usually). The surface becomes slightly of pitted/blemished. This can't be avoided unfortunately.

Please be aware that different lighting and being viewed on various screens can show colours slightly differently.

Safety Information -

Rock The Panda jewellery is not a toy. Please keep out of reach of children under 3 years old due to small parts and a potential choking hazard. Chains on necklaces may be a strangulation hazard, particularly if they get entangled or caught on other objects. Wear with care. Brooch pins may cause pricking injury if mishandled. Handle with care, keep them pinned to the foam pad provided or on clothes when worn. If the acrylic of a product is broken from eg. dropping, sharp edges may occur and may cause injury such as cuts and scratches if mishandled whilst loose pieces may be a choking hazard.

Rock The Panda jewellery is also not suitable for children under 12 years old.

The chains and findings used comply with British and European nickel release regulations (REACH Standards)
