My customers safety is really important to me so Rock The Panda is GPSR compliant. Each piece of jewellery is hand made with care in Sheffield, UK by Ruth Anna Moore and it complies with all relevant safety standards.

Product Type - Acrylic Costume Jewellery
Handmade laser cut acrylic costume jewellery with wooden parts and featuring stainless steel chains and metal findings that comply with British and European nickel release regulations (REACH Standards)
The acrylic and wood used is responsibly sourced and free from restricted substances.

SAFETY TESTING
All but one chain (including clasp and jump rings) are made from 304 stainless steel which complies with REACH regulations. The one chain that isn't made from stainless steel is made from aluminium with metal plate jump rings and clasp instead. All earrings posts are also made from stainless steel and surgical steel. Brooch backs are now also mostly made from stainless steel but some are plated metal.
Nickel release - Meets REACH and BSEN1811:2011+A1:2015 standards.
'The limit for metal to be worn in body piercings is 0.2 μg/cm2/week. This means that the amount of nickel released from the piercing over a week cannot exceed this limit. The nickel migration limit for products that come into direct and prolonged contact with the skin is 0.5μg/cm2/week.'
304 Stainless Steel - less than 0.03μg/cm2/week.
Surgical Steel - up to 0.02μg/cm2/week.
Aluminium (fierce tiger head necklace, panda head necklace and fox head necklace) - does not release nickel
Metal alloy (fierce tiger head necklace, panda head necklace and fox head necklace and some brooch backs only) - up to 0.5μg/cm2/week.
Cadmium content: REACH compliant
'Cadmium content must be 0.01% by weight of metal'.
All Rock The Panda chains and findings contain less than 0.005% cadmium complying with REACH restrictions.
Lead content: Conforms to EU Regulation 836/2012.
'Lead content that complies with REACH regulations depends on the product. For example, jewellery must contain no more than 0.05% lead by weight, while lead solder is generally banned'
All Rock The Panda chains and findings have no detectable levels so conform to EU regulation 836/2012 meeting the required limit for compliance.
SAFETY WARNINGS
Rock The Panda jewellery is not a toy. Please keep out of reach of children under 3 years old due to small parts and a potential choking hazard. Chains on necklaces may be a strangulation hazard, particularly if they get entangled or caught on other objects. Wear with care. Brooch pins may cause pricking injury if mishandled. Handle with care, keep them pinned to the foam pad provided or on clothes when worn. If the acrylic of a product is broken from eg. dropping, sharp edges may occur and may cause injury such as cuts and scratches if mishandled, whilst loose pieces may be a choking hazard.
Rock The Panda jewellery is also not suitable for children under 12 years old.
