EU customers - IOSS and DDP
I'm using IOSS which is good news for customers within the EU. It means that if you are spending less than €150, the tax will be included at the checkout so you won't get a nasty surprise customs fee to pay on delivery (which would've been higher without IOSS. A €3 duty fee (and £1 handling fee) has come into force, but as my work falls into the same tariff code category it stays at €3 per order no matter the amount of items you order. I am currently charging this through the postage but it's only estimated so I think I'm undercutting it for now. I will then hand the money over to Royal Mail so there will be no fee to pay on delivery (known as DDP). If however you're spending €150 and over then you won't be taxed at the checkout and instead you'll receive the tax within a customs fee on delivery. I can't prevent this currently unfortunately and the customer is fully responsible to pay it. You could however place two or more separate orders (up to €150 each) and I can ship them on separate days if you want to avoid the handling fee. I can't say whether you'd benefit though as you'd be paying double postage.
Etsy also uses IOSS but I'm charging less for products and postage on here as opposed to Etsy so you should benefit from buying on here instead.
If you happen to receive a customs fee (on an order up to €150) by fault you can email me at hello@rockthepanda.com and I will sort that out for you. If I happen to overcharge you postage, I will reimburse you, but I believe I'm undercutting it for now.
The company used to implement IOSS on the website and therefore in charge of paying the VAT on your behalf, after I collect it is -
