Good News for EU customers - IOSS is implemented!

I'm now using IOSS which is good news for customers within the EU. It means that if you are spending less than €150, the tax will be included at the checkout so you won't get a nasty surprise customs fee to pay on delivery (which would've been a fair bit higher without IOSS due to the extra custom and handling fee). If however you're spending €150 and over then you won't be taxed at the checkout and instead you'll receive the tax within a customs fee on delivery. I can't prevent this unfortunately and the customer is fully responsible to pay it. You could however place two or more separate orders (up to €150 each) and I can ship them on separate days if you want to avoid the handling fee. I can't say whether you'd benefit though as you'd be paying more postage.

Etsy also uses IOSS but I'm charging less for products and postage on here as opposed to Etsy so you'd definitely benefit from buying on here instead.

Customers in France - From 1 March 2026, France will apply €2 per item type tax fee on small parcels valued under €150 custom cleared in France. The charge may be collected at delivery as well as a €8 handling fee and 20% VAT of the amount small parcel tax amount. The item VAT is paid at the checkout so you won't be charged this on delivery. This is really new and quite vague. Some things suggesting you won't have to pay customs and handling fee on delivery since I'm using IOSS but other things saying that you will. There doesn't seem to be a suitable way for me to pay it beforehand even though I use IOSS. However, this is temporary and there's allegedly going to be a way in the future for it to be paid through the IOSS number beforehand. It just isn't currently in place yet. Orders over €150 just pay the usual VAT and custom fees on delivery.
