PRE ORDER Statement Ladybird Necklace Plain Multi Coloured

This statement ladybird necklace was inspired by my childhood love of ladybirds. I focused on the different wing stages when I designed this striking statement piece and it features 4 different wing stages over 7 separate ladybirds and 4 different colours that ladybirds appear in. Each piece is quite chunky and is backed with 3mm black acrylic but it is surprisingly easy to wear. I thought long and hard about the layering of these and realised that you can get thicker coloured acrylic so it was perfect for the layering of this piece to make them appear layered like real ladybirds. The outer coloured wings are made from plain Perspex and have engraved, painted black spots which also have a layer of UV resin over the top. This is done by hand so they will vary a little. The transparent wings have a likeness to real ladybird wings and are made from an ink/smoke like tortoishell acrylic, and the bodies are a greyish bronze mirror acrylic.

The design is joined together with black vacuum plated stainless steel jump rings and hangs from a chain of the same metal. The chain (not including the ladybirds) measures 26cm and also has a 8cm extender chain. You may request a longer chain if you leave me a note at the checkout or email me but I will say this one looks best sat fairly high up. There will be a little variation in the tortoishell acrylic as well as the uv resin but the rest will look the same. All work is solely done by Rock The Panda designer and maker Ruth Anna Moore in Sheffield, United Kingdom.
The necklace has the Rock The Panda logo and year made engraved on the back and comes in it's own box. All Rock The Panda designs will be limited. They won't ever be mass produced.

This design also comes in red mirror and orange mirror. If you'd just one colour in the plain acrylic, I can do that for you, just send me an email. 

Important Info -
Due to my works handmade nature and the fact that some of the acrylic sheet is handmade itself, there will be slight differences in each piece and may be minor imperfections.
Stainless steel is very resilient to tarnish but it may darken slightly over time.

Acrylic can be quite delicate. Handle with care, clean with a soft microfibre cloth and keep your brooch/necklace in the box provided when not being worn. Each piece is water resistant but not waterproof. Please don't immerse in water.

Shipping -
Orders are shipped in either boxes or in thick padded jiffy green envelopes both of which are recyclable. Tissue paper is used as padding and also biodegradable bubble wrap to protect pieces such as necklaces. Please re use or recycle the packaging responsibly.

If you're outside of the UK just be aware that you may get a custom fee upon delivery.
Shipping outside of the UK is tracked. UK orders are posted with Tracked24hr, Tracked48hr or special delivery (you decide at the checkout). Orders to Australia can take 2-8 weeks to arrive. Due to Brexit orders to Europe can now take anywhere between 2-3 weeks to arrive.
