PRE ORDER Statement Ladybird Necklace Mirror Orange

This statement ladybird necklace was inspired by my childhood love of ladybirds. I focused on the different wing stages when I designed this striking statement piece and it features 4 different wing stages over 7 separate ladybirds all in a true orange mirror acrylic. I thought long and hard about the layering of these and knew that you can get thicker mirror acrylic which was perfect for the layering of this piece to make them appear layered like real ladybirds with the order of the wings.  Each piece is quite chunky and is backed with 3mm black acrylic but it is surprisingly easy to wear. The outer coloured wings are made from orange mirror acrylic and have engraved, painted black spots which are neatly sealed under the acrylic. The transparent wings have a likeness to real ladybird wings and are made from an ink/smoke like tortoishell acrylic, and the bodies are a greyish bronze mirror acrylic.

The design is joined together with black vacuum plated stainless steel jump rings and hangs from a chain of the same metal. The chain (not including the ladybirds) measures 26cm and also has a 8cm extender chain. You may request a longer chain if you leave me a note at the checkout or email me but I will say this one looks best sat fairly high up. There will be a little variation in the tortoishell acrylic but the rest will look the same. All work is solely done by Rock The Panda designer and maker Ruth Anna Moore in Sheffield, United Kingdom.
The necklace has the Rock The Panda logo and year made engraved on the back and comes in it's own box. All Rock The Panda designs will be limited. They won't ever be mass produced.

This design also comes in orange mirror and there's a plain multi-coloured version too.

A new thin 1mm clear layer has been added to the back of the wings of the middle ladybird from April 2025 onwards to strengthen the wings

Important Information -

Due to my works handmade nature and the fact that some of the acrylic sheet is handmade itself, there will be slight differences in each piece and may be minor imperfections.
Stainless steel is very resilient to tarnish but it may darken slightly over time.

Acrylic can be quite delicate. Handle with care, clean with a soft microfibre cloth and keep your brooch/necklace in the box provided when not being worn. Each piece is water resistant but not waterproof. Please don't immerse in water.

Please handle this piece extra carefully. If dropped, knocked, or if it gets entangled with coats or seat belts it may get damaged.

Safety Information -

Rock The Panda jewellery is not a toy. Please keep out of reach of children under 3 years old due to small parts and a potential choking hazard. Chains on necklaces may be a strangulation hazard, particularly if they get entangled or caught on other objects. Wear with care. Brooch pins may cause pricking injury if mishandled. Handle with care, keep them pinned to the foam pad provided or on clothes when worn. If the acrylic of a product is broken from eg. dropping, sharp edges may occur and may cause injury such as cuts and scratches if mishandled whilst loose pieces may be a choking hazard.

Rock The Panda jewellery is also not suitable for children under 12 years old.

The chains and findings used comply with British and European nickel release regulations (REACH Standards)
