PRE ORDER Ladybird Brooch Red Mirror

This ladybird brooch was inspired by my childhood love of ladybirds. I focused on the different wing stages when I designed the statement necklace and felt this was the best shape for the brooch. Each brooch is quite chunky but is backed with 1mm black acrylic  so is easy to wear. I thought long and hard about the layering of these and realised that you can get thicker frosted acrylic which looks the same as mirror acrylic so it was perfect for the layering of this piece to make them appear layered like real ladybirds and the order of the wings. The outer coloured wings are made from red mirror acrylic and the spots are engraved and painted underneath. The transparent wings have a likeness to real ladybird wings and are made from an ink/smoke like tortoishell acrylic, and the bodies are a greyish bronze mirror acrylic.

The design measures approximately 45mm(h)x57mm(w) and has a brooch back glued on horizontally. There will be a little variation in the tortoishell acrylic but the rest will look the same. All work is solely done by Rock The Panda designer and maker Ruth Anna Moore in Sheffield, United Kingdom.
The brooch has the Rock The Panda logo and year made engraved on the back and comes in it's own box. All Rock The Panda designs will be limited. They won't ever be mass produced.

Important Info -
Due to my works handmade nature and the fact that some of the acrylic sheet is handmade itself, there will be slight differences in each piece and may be minor imperfections.
Stainless steel is very resilient to tarnish but it may darken slightly over time.

Acrylic can be quite delicate. Handle with care, clean with a soft microfibre cloth and keep your brooch/necklace in the box provided when not being worn. Each piece is water resistant but not waterproof. Please don't immerse in water.

Shipping -
Orders are shipped in either boxes or in thick padded jiffy green envelopes both of which are recyclable. Tissue paper is used as padding and also biodegradable bubble wrap to protect pieces such as necklaces. Please re use or recycle the packaging responsibly.

If you're outside of the UK just be aware that you may get a custom fee upon delivery.
Shipping outside of the UK is tracked. UK orders are posted with Tracked24hr, Tracked48hr or special delivery (you decide at the checkout). Orders to Australia can take 2-8 weeks to arrive. Due to Brexit orders to Europe can now take anywhere between 2-3 weeks to arrive.
